We offer a full range of training courses to suit every need, from awareness courses for leisure right through to professional and masters level.

Natural Arts Academy

Awareness / foundation courses are suitable for those who want to know a little more about a subject, either prior to having a treatment, or as a taste to see if it is the right profession to get into.

Awareness courses are usually held over a one or two day week end, and follow a basic comprehensive syllabus, which includes theory, and some practical exercises. Classes start from 10am and finish around 4 with regular breaks in the morning, lunch time and afternoon. Classes are kept to a maximum of 4 - 6.  Refreshments are provided as part of these courses, so no need to bring anything, unless you are asked to specifically.

Aromatherapy awareness week end  £100. This course looks at the history, philosophy, and modern practices of Aromatherapy. The safe home treatment of everyday ailments for friends and family.

Reflexology & Metamorphic Therapy awareness week end £100. This course initially looks at its history and philosohphies, comparing it to other natural medical practices, along with the safe home treatment of everyday ailments for friends & family.

These awareness courses could, and should be taken prior to professional courses, as they give you a taster of what you study, and practice as a professional. We recommend that if you have no experience of these subjects, you take an awareness course first before you commit, just to see if its for you, or not. Theres nothing worse than starting a course, or profession. Only to find out half way through that its not doing anything for you, and you have wasted your time, effort and money.

Professional Courses

All our professional courses are flexible, have been through a vigorous quality assurance, and validation process, after graduation from which you will be able to obtain professional memebrships, and insurance to practice. They are split into two distinct parts. Part one theory which is undertaken at your own pace, in your own time with the aid of a tutor, and along with the support and interaction of other students. Every year a student representative is nominated & elected, they will be able to help other students with problems as and when needed.

Once theory is completed you can undertake part two, your practical / clinical training. On most courses, practical / clinical training can start after completion of a module in health, safety, hygiene, ethics, laws (professional issues) etc. So theres no need to wait until you have completed all the theory modules in your course prior to undertaking practical / clinical training.

Practical training is undertaken on days, and week ends throughout the year, and clinical training can be undertaken in any clinic throughout the week, as long as it is agreed with your tutor. Clients are aware that students can be in residence at any time, and may be the person to do their treatments, whilst under the supervision of a clinical tutor.

We have a maximum length of time you can study on a course, and a minimum. This prevents you from taking too long to complete, and not long enough for you to be a safe practitioner. It also allows you to have short breaks in between study if need be. We understand that its hard to jiggle with work, study and home life, so we try to support you as best as we can.
